Working with a Team

LawRep is built around workspaces — every case, client, file, and meeting belongs to one.

Invite staff

Workspace → Staff → Invite. Pick a role:

  • Owner — full control, including billing and plan changes.
  • Member — can access cases, clients, and meetings according to their permission group.

The invitee gets an email with a sign-up link tied to your workspace.

Permissions

Permission groups live under Admin → User Groups. Owners can switch a member between groups (e.g. Senior Associate, Paralegal). Each group toggles capabilities like cases.create, invoices.edit, clients.delete.

Notes vs. announcements

  • To-Do List (dashboard) — personal tasks. Other team members see them but only the creator can edit or delete them.
  • Announcements (dashboard) — workspace-wide messages from one teammate to the rest. Same rule: only the author can edit or remove.
  • Case notes (Internal) — visible to all staff on the case, not the client.
  • Case notes (Private) — visible only to the author. Even the activity log hides the entry from other staff.

Switching workspaces

If you belong to multiple workspaces, the workspace selector is in the sidebar header. Switching reloads the dashboard with that workspace's data.
